What will my treatment be like?

Treatment begins with an initial evaluation with one of our directors. This appointment will help identify the specific nature of your concerns and to match you with a clinician who is the best fit for you. Our clinicians are all highly-trained licensed psychologists who are compassionate and understanding of the difficulties clients face. Your treatment will be personalized to your individual needs.

We offer individual outpatient therapy, intensive outpatient therapy, group therapy, and free support groups. We specialize in using evidence-based Cognitive Behavior Therapy and, when appropriate, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

How does treatment work?

Treatment will focus on the three primary areas of anxiety:

  • How you Physically Feel
  • Your Thoughts, Beliefs, and Experiences
  • Your Behavior and Actions

Often the therapist will help you recognize that there are either past or current stressors in life that are contributing to your symptoms. We offer the opportunity to explore these. Factors such as early life experiences, current relationships, or other relevant situations are addressed as indicated. Your therapist will work with you one-on-one to teach you how to face your fears and anxiety, face life’s challenges constructively, and help you to get the most out of life, not letting anxiety keep you down.
