We are experts in the field. All of our clinicians are experienced, doctoral-level psychologists with specialized training and expertise in treating anxiety, OCD and related issues. Getting specialized treatment with an experienced, trained clinician ensures that you are getting the most effective, evidence-based treatment appropriate for you. This is comparable to going to a specialist doctor vs. your primary care doctor for a specific concern. Although we specialize in anxiety, we can help with concerns other than anxiety as well.

Yes, we are happy to see clients via telehealth and some our clinicians are licensed to see clients in other states (please call to inquire if your state is included). Other telehealth platforms often employ therapists at varying levels of training who are generalists vs. having specialized areas of expertise.

We are highly-regarded and have a longstanding reputation for our successful work with children, teens and young adults. Our specially trained child and adolescent psychologists work to establish a good rapport to help kids and teens feel comfortable and safe, and tailor therapy to meet each child/teen’s unique goals and needs. Play and creative teaching styles may be used to teach your child cognitive behavioral strategies in a way that is age-appropriate, fun and relatable to them.

For children and younger teens, we have found that it is very helpful to involve parents/caregivers in treatment (this can range from brief check-ins to full sessions) so that they can support what a child is learning and help maintain treatment gains long term. Parent participation for older teen clients can be discussed with the clinician and may vary based on that teen’s needs and teen and parent preference. With parent permission, we are also happy to work with school psychologists and guidance counselors, teachers, and other treatment providers.

We are happy to discuss this with you! We provide a free, 15-minute phone consultation to help you determine if treatment could be beneficial and if AATC is the right fit! There are several ways to schedule an initial appointment. You may call us at (610) 667-6490. For children and teens 18 and under contact Dr. Lori Kasmen at [email protected] or (610)667-6490 ext 21. For adults ages 18 and up contact Dr. Linda Welsh at [email protected] or (610) 667-6490 ext 15. You may also send a message via our contact page.

Your initial session will last 45-50 minutes. The initial session is a chance for us to get a better understanding of your treatment goals, further assessing symptoms, and providing additional information regarding the types of treatments available.

Dr. Lori Kasmen meets with all kids and teens (and their caregivers) and Dr. Linda Welsh meets with all adults for an initial session. After the initial session clients are matched with a clinician who is the best suited to them in terms of areas of expertise, style, scheduling availability and any special requests. Rather having to spend time “trying out” several clinicians before finding the right person, this approach helps our clients to start with a practitioner who is the best fit for them.

Sessions last approximately 45-50 minutes, with longer session times available if determined to be necessary to address your treatment needs. Most clients are seen weekly, but because treatment is customized, you and your clinician will collaborate on finding a session schedule that works best for you.

Length of treatment depends on many factors, such as your treatment goals, the severity of symptoms, time available to devote to treatment, etc. We can better provide an estimate after the initial evaluation when we have a better understanding of your goals.

Our clinicians have expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), Trauma-focused CBT, Behavioral Activation for depression, supportive therapy and psychodynamic therapy.

Yes, when indicated, we can meet with clients multiple times per week.

Insurance companies can impose limitations on the type and duration of treatment, and these limitations can adversely affect treatment outcome.
