Danielle Trucksess, Ph.D.

Dr. Trucksess specializes in the treatment of anxiety and related disorders in children, adolescents, and adults.

Dr. Trucksess has expertise in treating the full-range of anxiety disorders, including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Phobias, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors, Depression, and Adjustment Disorder. She uses a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, including Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Dr. Trucksess also enjoys helping people improve their relationships through the use of effective communication techniques.

Dr. Trucksess holds an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) license and is able to see patients in 42 PSYPACT participating states via teletherapy. 

EDUCATION & TRAINING

Danielle Trucksess received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and her Ph.D. in Clinical and Developmental Psychology from Bryn Mawr College. While earning her doctorate, Dr. Trucksess became a certified school psychologist conducting psychoeducational assessments at Bryn Mawr College’s Child Study Institute, Upper Darby School District, and The Philadelphia School. In addition to her clinical internship and post-doctorate training at University Counseling Centers working with young adults, Dr. Trucksess received specialized training in exposure-based treatments for anxiety disorders at the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety (CTSA).
