Dr. Sobel specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive related disorders. She has extensive training in evidence-based, empirically validated psychotherapy, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure/Response Prevention (ERP), and Habit Reversal Training (HRT). She has a clinical focus on the treatment of anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), body-focused repetitive behavior disorders, and Tourette’s disorder. Dr. Sobel also has specialized training and clinical experience in the administration, interpretation, and integration of neuropsychological and psychodiagnostic assessments. Dr. Sobel’s clinical approach is grounded in a comprehensive biopsychosocial framework and emphasizes individualized care. She values a collaborative approach to care and works closely with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary professionals to develop individualized treatment plans that are responsive to each client’s unique needs and goals.

Education and Training

Dr. Sobel earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and Masters of Arts (M.A.) degree from Immaculata University’s APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Program. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University. Throughout her training, she has provided clinical services in private practice and outpatient settings to children, adolescents, and adults presenting with a broad range of psychopathology and co-occurring disorders. Her clinical experience includes work with neurodevelopmental disorders, bipolar and related disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, dissociative disorders, neurocognitive disorders, substance-related and addictive disorders, schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders, depressive disorders, feeding and eating disorders, gender dysphoria, and trauma- and stressor-related disorders. Her doctoral clinical training and professional experience include work with the Home for Anxiety, Repetitive Behaviors, OCD, and Related Disorders (HARBOR), Elwyn Behavioral Health, and Chimes Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems. She completed an undergraduate internship with the Psychiatry Department Jefferson Methodist Hospital and the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry’s Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.
